Current Opening:

Woodruff Construction is looking for a Logistics Coordinator out of its Ames location.The Safety Specialist is responsible for facilitating warehouse tool and equipment logistics. The Logistics Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of tools, equipment and materials with in our company.

Accountabilities

Data Entry and Data Maintenance

• Track all tools using the data management system as well as tagging and logging new tools
• Maintain an equipment maintenance and inspection spreadsheet through new equipment tracking software
• Track and coordinate the logistics of moving of equipment
• Forward assigned pick tickets and work orders to the appropriate Warehouse Coordinator

Inventory Tracking and Management

• Order and purchase warehouse stock items
• Schedule and notification of weekly delivery schedules
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Coordinators, Field Operations Managers and Superintendents
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Warehouse Supervisor to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained

Reporting

• Help with yearly budgets for new purchases
• Code receipts and upload invoices
• Compile, generate and distribute reports
• Assist with safety data tracking

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
• Working knowledge of Windows based computers.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Must be able to contain confidential information.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend over or crawl; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects or tools; and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance.
• Occasionally required lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
